Christ is going
"to redeem us from every lawless deed" (Titus 2:14). But is all
all? Do you believe, as I did once, that this "all" is a subset of the real
all? Maybe God came to save "all" but "all" did not want to be saved? If this is true, why did Paul hold out such a "blessed hope" without qualifying it? Yes, you say, but Paul was talking to believers who understood that "all" would not be saved. Maybe this "understanding" is you and I reading our traditions into scripture? The evidence is adding up!

I'm following your thought. Keep on posting. I appreciate your earlier post regarding the love of the brethren. Nothing in my Christian experience has helped me to love people more, than understanding that I will eventually be reunited with everyone in Christ. We will all be on equal footing...that is, none of us will deserve the blessing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
